Our English Programs provide Grade 1–12 students with structured Academic Coaching that develops far more than grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills. Grammar & Writing Excellence develops strong language foundations while teaching students how to plan, organize, draft, revise, edit, and strengthen their own writing. Grammar, sentence structure, vocabulary, and language conventions are taught explicitly and then applied purposefully in students’ written work.

Through guided writing, individualized feedback, error analysis, and structured revision, students learn to recognize recurring weaknesses, make deliberate improvements, and take increasing responsibility for the quality of their writing—developing the clarity, precision, confidence, and independence needed for long-term academic success.

Literature & Critical Reading develops students’ ability to understand, question, interpret, and evaluate increasingly complex texts. Students strengthen comprehension while learning to make meaningful inferences, analyze ideas and literary elements, evaluate perspectives, and support interpretations with relevant textual evidence.

Communication & Reasoning teaches students to develop ideas, think critically, reason logically, and communicate their thinking clearly and confidently. Students learn to construct evidence-based arguments, consider different perspectives, ask thoughtful questions, and articulate and defend their ideas through meaningful discussion, presentation, and debate.

Through guided discussion, argument analysis, active listening, and structured reflection, students learn to evaluate the strength of their own reasoning, respond thoughtfully to others, and communicate with increasing clarity, confidence, and independence.

What makes English Programs with MGE different from traditional English tutoring?
Our English Programs follow a structured, skills-based curriculum designed to systematically develop grammar, writing, reading comprehension, critical thinking, communication, and reasoning. Each program focuses on a specific area of English, allowing students to build strong academic foundations through guided instruction, meaningful practice, personalized feedback, and progressive skill development. Rather than focusing on isolated lessons, students develop transferable academic skills that strengthen classroom performance, improve confidence, and support long-term success across all subjects.
​What if my child is working below their grade level in English?
Students are placed according to their current English skill level rather than automatically by school grade. An initial assessment determines the appropriate starting level based on grammar, writing, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and critical thinking skills. As students strengthen their foundations and demonstrate mastery, they progress through the levels until they reach and advance beyond their grade-level expectations.
What level of commitment is expected from students?

Students achieve the best results when they attend classes consistently, actively participate in discussions and activities, complete assigned practice between lessons, and apply the feedback they receive from their instructor. Consistent effort throughout the program leads to stronger academic growth, greater confidence, and lasting improvement in English.
