How is Math Global Education different from traditional tutoring?

Traditional tutoring typically focuses on immediate academic needs—explaining difficult concepts, completing assignments, closing knowledge gaps, or preparing for an upcoming test. Math Global Education goes further through structured Academic Coaching. Alongside strong subject instruction, students develop deeper understanding, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, effective study habits, self-awareness, and the ability to learn from mistakes. As students progress, responsibility gradually shifts from the coach to the student, building the confidence, discipline, and independence needed to manage their own learning successfully. The goal is not simply to improve today's assignment or next week's test, but to develop stronger, more capable, independent learners who can succeed year after year.

Will students be able to use what they learn at Math Global Education in school?

Absolutely. Everything students develop at Math Global Education is designed to strengthen their success in school and beyond. Our programs are aligned with Canadian curricula while also developing transferable skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, effective study habits, organization, self-assessment, and independent learning. Students learn how to apply these skills to their schoolwork, assignments, assessments, and exams—giving them strategies they can continue using across subjects, grade levels, and throughout their education.

Most of your programs are online. Will you offer in-person programs in the future?

Yes. Math Global Education will begin introducing in-person programs in Edmonton, Alberta, in 2027. This will mark the first stage of our in-person expansion, with plans to gradually bring our programs to more communities across Alberta and, eventually, across Canada. Our online programs will continue to provide flexible access to students across Canada and internationally, while in-person locations will offer families an additional way to experience Math Global Education.
